Register a Drone

Register your drone(s) at FAADroneZone.  You will need to create an account in order to login.

This site is also your go-to website for:

Part 107 Waivers & Airspace Authorizations

     Part 107 Accident Reports

Once logged in, you can select how you want to register your drone (Part 107 or Recreational Flyer).

For drones that are going to be flown under Part 107 rules, you will need to register each drone and get a registration number for each drone. ($5 per drone)

For drones that are only going to be flown recreationally (Recreational Flyer), you only need to register once and you can use that registration number on all your drones (that are flown recreationally). ($5 for as many drones you register)

Here are examples of Certificate of Registration for Recreational Flyer and Part 107 Flyer.

If you are flying under 44809 (Recreational Flyer), you will need to have a "Current Registration" and place a sticker on your drone(s) with the Registration number.

If you are flying under Part 107, you will need to register each drone and place a sticker on the drone that lists the Serial Number and Registration number for that drone.
